I was hoping to upload an update during the lockdown, however, when I reviewed the new and updated information there were queries caused that need further work which is still ongoing. Files are dated which will show how current they are. If you have a specific need to check information please email and I can answer from my latest files on my laptop.
This research was inspired by an earlier printed work in 1913 produced by Alexander Howell. He was a conveyancing solicitor and much of his research came from title deeds and the information contained within them. My research continues in this manner but using all sources available from original material such as he used to modern printed resources. I have attempted to maintain the accuracy of the information but may well have introduced errors in transposing the information. Should you wish to use the information then the original sources can be checked, in case of any transcription errors, except where the information is not referenced in which case I am the source.
Copyright remains with original sources, any use of this information should at least be credited to myself as collator of the information.

Notes
1 Dates of start and end of items is not necessarily precise as directories take time to add new and remove old entries
2 Some of the new sections are still under development as I decide how to best present the information
3 Do not panic if your street/house does not have recent date added, that only means I have not visited the street in recent years that is next stage to revisit.
4 The numbers at the right of each line in the sections above refer to source material listed in references.
5 In the pubs sections the last lines of each generally shows the tie and the licensee.
